A warm welcome to the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences of the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Our Health Science Center is one of the major health components of the University of Texas System and is the only tier one research university in South Texas. Our two most important missions are: 1) to provide an outstanding research environment in which our faculty and their research groups pursue investigative programs to define and solve the most interesting and important scientific questions that relate to the health of our citizens; and 2) to host superior graduate programs engaged in the education and experiential development of the next generation of scientists and educators in contemporary areas of the biosciences.
