As part of its academic assessment program, the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences (GSBS) uses the Student Ratings of Instruction System offered by IDEA (Individual Development and Educational Assessment).
The Student Ratings of Instruction System is comprised of multiple tools. Those currently used by the GSBS include the Diagnostic Feedback survey and the Learning Outcomes survey.
The results of these surveys can be used for individual and program improvement, making decisions about curriculum, and as indirect measures of student learning. For more information about these assessment tools, the Student Ratings of Instruction, or IDEA, visit the IDEA website at http://ideaedu.org/.
