Want to learn more about viruses? South Texas Center for Emerging Infectious Diseases's Dr. Hans Heidner will be discussing the “big plans for small microbes” on Tuesday, Nov. 10 from 6:30 p.m. to 7: 30 p.m. at the Parman Library at Stone Oak.
Dr. Heidner offers a brief introduction to viruses, and then explain how scientists are taking advantage of their unique properties to develop new methods of cancer treatment, gene therapy, vaccine development, and antibiotics.
