The School of Dentistry T32 Craniofacial Oral-Biology Student Training in Academic Research (COSTAR) National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR) training grant is happy to announce the availability of open positions for Ph.D. trainees.
Two positions will become available on or before July 1, 2015 and another later this summer. The research projects of Ph.D. trainees supported by the T32 COSTAR training program must be related to craniofacial oral biology related areas.
Trainees receive support for a yearly stipend ($26,000). COSTAR pays 60 percent of tuition and fees and 100 percent of insurance. The mentor/department pays 40 percent of tuition and fees. Preference is given to graduate students in their 2nd or 3rd year, who have completed their qualifying examination.
The COSTAR Leadership Council ranks applicants by the following selection criteria: progress and standing in their graduate program; letters of recommendation; personal statement; and potential for career in craniofacial oral biology research.

1) COSTAR application form (available online),
2) current CV,
3) current graduate school transcript,
4) recommendation form (available online) from their mentor and an additional member of their dissertation committee,
5) personal statement outlining the research and career goals of the trainee (not to exceed two pages).

The slots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis, so qualified applicants should submit their applications as soon as possible.
