The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is partnering with UTSA and UTHSCSA to host a regional small business workshop in south-central Texas.

Prepare current and next-generation of biomedical entrepreneurs to compete in Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR)/ Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs administered by NIAID, NCI, NIBIB, and NIGMS

Present the NIH SBIR/STTR programs as a unique career opportunity in biomedical entrepreneurship and commercialization

Provide the knowledge and guidance needed to apply for SBIR/STTR grants

Address NIH SBIR/STTR policies and regulations
