Congratulations to one of our students William “Sealy” Hambright (Biology of Aging Track) who has been offered and has accepted a position as a postdoctoral fellow at the McGovern Medical School, University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth).
Sealy will be mentored by Dr. Johnny Huard, Distinguished Wallace Professor and Vice-Chair for Research in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. Dr. Huard is also the Director of the Brown Foundation Institute for Molecular Medicine’s Center for Tissue Engineering and Aging Research at UTHealth. Dr. Huard's primary interests are in "basic stem cell biology and their translation to the clinic to aid in healing and regeneration of a variety of tissues.”
Sealy, who is currently a predoctoral trainee (Ran Lab) on the T32 Training Grant on the Biology of Aging , is scheduled to defend his Ph.D. dissertation at the beginning of June and will be starting postdoctoral training in the Huard lab in July.
