UT Health Science Center Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences graduate students and the Voelcker Biosciences Teacher Academy - VBTA have worked with over 100 k-12 schools to create the Largest Periodic Table.

The classrooms have been provided with supplies by San Antonio Science, Inc. to illustrate one square from the periodic table on a 12’ by 15’ foot tarp.

All 118 elements will ultimately be combined at the grand unveiling event to comprise the record breaking periodic table exceeding 22,000 square feet in size.

Participants, family and friends of students are invited to attend the unveiling event to celebrate their role in this record breaking piece of San Antonio history.

In the same light as Science Fiesta’s overall goal, the purpose of the World Record Attempt is to foster excitement about science through this once in a lifetime event.

Science Fiesta’s World Record Attempt is projected to take place on the evening of March 2nd from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at San Antonio’s Gustafson Football Stadium.
