No more using e-cigarettes — or “vaping” — on school grounds, say UT Health San Antonio officials.
The university recently updated its tobacco-free policy, in place since 2000, to include such items.
UT Health SA’s Eliminate Tobacco Use committee has been at the forefront of the university’s policy changes and has been putting up new signs advertising its tobacco-free policy around campus since December.
“As role models for public health in San Antonio, we’re excited to improve the tobacco-free status and resources of UT Health San Antonio to help our faculty, staff, students, and visitors have the healthiest lives possible,” Amelie Ramirez, co-chair of the Eliminate Tobacco Use at the university, said in a news release.
