Looking for fun things to do this summer? Check out these amazing San Antonio attractions.

1) San Antonio Museum of Art 

San Antonio Museum of Art

The San Antonio Museum of Art offers permanent collections of Egyptian, Greek and Roman antiquities, Asian art, Latin American art, contemporary art and American paintings. Check out Spanish and Portuguese colonial art from the Collection of Roberta and Richard Huber on display until September 4. The museum has free general admission every Tuesday from 4 - 9 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

2) Visit the Tower of the Americas

Tower of the Americas

The 750-foot-tall Tower of the Americas provides has spectacular views of the Alamo City. Enjoy a panoramic view from the Tower's revolving restaurant, take in the scenery from the Observation Deck or experience the thrilling 4D Theater Ride. Also don't miss Free Concert Fridays every Friday in June through October from 7 p.m. – 11 p.m.

3) Visit Texas Hill Country

Texas Hill Country

The Texas Hill Country has an unlimited source for beautiful trails with everything from lake views to hillside vistas. You could go golfingtake a swimride a horse, or just drive around to enjoy the scenery. Don't miss the monthly Wiberley's Second Satuday Gallery Trail every second Saturday of the month when fifteen art galleries feature a wide spectrum of fine art from local and national artists. 

4) Night in Old Fredericksburg


Fredericksburg's " Night in Old Fredericksburg" on June 16 is a celebration of its German Heritage featuring dancing under the stars, a biergarten, parimutuel horse racing, and lots of German food.

5) Visit the Historic Missions of San Antonio

The  San Antonio Missions are a UNESCO World Heritage Site composed of four of the five Spanish frontier missions: The Mission Concepción, Mission San José,  Mission San Juan Capistrano, and Mission Espada. Every 4th Tuesday of every month, the Missions have "Yoga in Your Park" for people interested in practicing yoga. 

6) Spend A Day at the Historic Pearl District

The Pearl offers both locals and visitors truly distinct San Antonio culture—from a twice weekly farmers market to 15 chef-driven restaurants and a vibrant, all-local retail community. First Thursdays are a night of special deals from your favorite Pearl shops. There will be in-store sales, live music and more. 

7) Enjoy Family Fun at Six Flags Fiesta Texas

Six Flags Fiesta Texas features hundreds of roller coasters, thrill rides and family attractions. GOLD Season Pass Holders may Bring A Friend Free on one day from June 20-23, 2016. Also don't miss June 20's "Hot Summer Night" for exclusive ride time after the park closes, plus an in-park dance celebration with Live DJ, prizes, and more.

8) Explore Our Botanical Garden

The San Antonio Botanical Garden is open year round from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. From June 4 to October 30, the garden will feature a "Winged Wonders" exhibit to highlight the Garden’s winged friends, especially monarch butterflies and hummingbirds. San Antonio is the only Monarch Butterfly Champion City, taking the National Wildlife Federation Pledge in 2015 to increase pollinator habitat.

9) Check Out Our Eclectic, Trendy Districts

Hang out in Historic King Williams District/Southtown and enjoy walking around the neighborhood's coffee shops and restaurants. Every second Tuesday from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m., the River City Big Band, gather to perform big band jazz arrangements from the libraries of Stan Kenton, Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Woody Herman, Buddy Rich, and Glen Miller. 

10) Sample Sweet & Savory Food Trucks

In the mood for some food trucks? Use this website to find some of San Antonio's local food trucks like Saweet CupcakesPuerto Rican Grub Express, or Philly's Phamous Cheesesteaks. Or Visit The Block SA or Alamo Street Eat Bar, outdoor gathering spots featuring gourmet food trucks.
